Workshops

Typically two or three workshops are held each year. Led by experienced local, intrastate and interstate tutors, they cover a diverse range of techniques and enable participants to increase their knowledge and skills in embroidery. They are designed to suit both beginners and more proficient stitchers. Emphasis is placed on the use of correct techniques, and help is available during and after the session to enable participants to produce a finished piece.

They are primarily for members, but other Guild members or non-members may be considered if there are places available. Non Members will be charged at a higher rate.

Some examples of recent workshops include:

  • Aztec Stitch Embroidery with Patsy Saunders,
  • Cornpad Embroidery with Jene Martin and
  • 3 Dimensional Native Birds with Mary Nye
