We hold a major biennial exhibition and other displays are presented at various venues from time to time.
At biennial exhibitions, the embroidery projects of members work for the past two years are shown. There are generally 350 to 400 items, exhibited by approximately 63 members. These exhibitions are well supported by the local community as well as intrastate, interstate and overseas visitors.
A vast array of different stitches and techniques are displayed. Some projects are the design and handwork of the exhibitors, whilst others are from a design found in a kit, book or some other source. Also on display are many items made at the various workshops as well as by members of our young stitchers group (HEGYS).
Another popular feature of biennial exhibitions is the gift boutique, with quality embroidered items for sale. These are made by guild members, and are ideal as Christmas gifts, presents for others or a little treasure that has to be bought for no particular reason. The exhibition is a showcase of the amazing ability of our members, and something that we share with great pride.
